sounds like a permissions issue or a locked folder/file

taking ownership in XP:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421

additionally, you could download unlocker (search google for it)

make sure the folder is not set "read only"

also take a look at:

If you have an icon for" My Documents"on your desktop, click on that to open it. There you will see all your files. Click on the one you want to open. If it doesn't open, right click it, then click "open." Or from the start menu, click on "Windows Explorer." There you will see the files that you created. In the left pane, click on the folder you want to open. The contents should show up on the right. If you want to make a new folder, click on "File" in the menu bar and click "new." Then name that folder. Click and hold dow your mouse and drag what files you want to put there to the new folder. f you think you have a virus, you should check with whatever security company you have. Ellie
try to acess it in safemode, sounds like a virus to be honest, if it stills screws up in safemode then you will have to simply reinstall windows
