What's with these spyware pop-ups? (HELP!)?

I keep getting these pop-ups on my desktop saying I have spyware. However, I've scanned using Norton Antivirus 2007 and it says I'm clean. Are these just things trying to sell me something or should I be worried?

Most of the time it is just an ad trying to get you to click on it. If you are worried download and run Spybot S and D its a great free spyware utlity. Remember to donate to the guy if you can.

That's not a virus and Norton is not what they use to be. Try using spybot and Adaware to get rid of the popup.
