Tracking cookies?hijack this

Anytime you visit a website some type of tracking cookie is placed inside your PC, Yahoo has like 5 or 6 cookies that are placed in your PC every time you visit or log-in, or they update themselves.

You do not need to do anything to your PC. Cookies are a part of the PC life, all you can do is dump your browsing history prior to shutting down.

Cookies provide webmasters and the like, how long you were on their website, what pages you visited, how you got there (keywords) operating system - browser, and a host of other information, also what advertisements to toss at you or place in the webpages you visit.

View the link below for some information on how webmasters and busisnesses use this data.

Norton antivirus doesn't really remove tracking cookies. You need to remove them from explorer.

Open up internet explorer, go to tools at the top, click internet options, and find something that says clean/delete internet cookies, past history and click it.
Get Firefox.
GET TO KNOW MOZILLA!!!

MOZILLA FIREFOX

MOZILLA

THUNDERBIRD

These are all great programs that eliminate the unwanted problems of the past (Past meaning IE, AOL and Netscape).
To fix problem with tracking cookies,

1. Get rid of Norton, it isn't the best out there and it slows your Internet and CPU down by about 25%

2. Download SpyBot search and Destroy (finds 90% of viruses and tracking cookies)

3. Download either McAfee or Ad-Aware (virus protection devises both are free and are better than Norton)

I hope this helps you.
