Ok i went on to aol earlier and apperently there was a critical update so I clicked on it the aol dowmload manager starts the download but keeps saying they cant find a connection but there obviously is a connection cos i put this question on didnt i help what is wrong! No virus or spyware i recently scanned with avast antivirus professional edition i mean like a week agao they found a rookit but they found it and got rid of it and my pc performance has improved and any future scans didnt reveal anything so what is wrong there is definately a connection so i feel it right to say HELP!

They updated and ruined what little cred they had, recently. I now have to right-click on the icon bottom right, and open network connections. Then when the Broadband line registers a connection, You have to right click the line above that and choose connect. Only then can you open AOL and launch. Its a right royal pain!

AOL messes up sometimes just try signing off then back on if that doesn't work restart you computer
