Bios Memory and such.?

Dell Inspiron 2200-Help ASAP

alright my sisters computer is running very slow.

we instaled Norton AntiVirus and did a scan.

we also did Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter.

she has a new memory chip but we arent sure if it is working properly.

any ideas as to what it could be. let me know.

When you added the memory to the laptop did it slow down afterward or before the addition of the memory?

Dell Laptop's have so much crapware on them it is slow when you get it new.

I would say to go to the run-msconfig and disable ALL of the STARTUP junk . BUT do not go into the registry. There is not any need to. You just ask for trouble in there!

After all of this make sure you have the new memory stick install and seated properly. (I do hope it is a compatable stick you have)

Also after you dump Norton I would get AVG FREE it has a better interface and IMHO a very good AV program.

ok first remove Norton its a block on your computer and run the following not to replace notron Avast is much better and less taxing on your computers hard ware
