Slow internet?

I have a firefox browser and very slow internet conection. it probably isnt the browser because internet explorer is also slow. i checked my add/remove programs and it was pretty much cleaned up of stuff that i wouldnt use. also, this is a brand new laptop (acer aspire 5630). i ran a scan for spyware and antivirus and didnt have a problem. i would really like it if i had fast internet since i am on all the time.

Having a new or cleaned up computer has nothing to do with internet speed, if you want fast internet follow one of these instructions. If you do not have broadband get it, you need it to have fast internet. If you already have broadband phone up your provider, if that does not solve the problem consider moving to a different ISP.

Using a search engine....google maybe.....type in: Ccleaner and then download and activate....job done. 10 points plz!!!
If you are on dial up it will always be slow. And is this a new prob or did it just start happening. Please tell us a little more info like what your internet is, dsl, dial up, cable whatever, this might get some more better answers.
heres a few things if u have any questions feel free to email me.. open internet click on the tools button then go to internet options from there delete delete ur cookies and delete files... also then click on the advance from there unclick (enable page transitions) finally clikc apply... also u sould be running ur disk clean up program at least onced a week more than that wont hurt.. also every so ofter run the disk defragmentor you can find this by clicking on ur start menu, then all programs, then accessories, then system tools, then click disk defragmentor this is the same place to find disk cleanup... now the defragmentor will take a while so dont run it when u want to use ur comp... for the cleanup u will run it on ur (c) drive just click ok and yes to anything it ask, ur comp will already know what u need to have removed dont check anything else off..
