Hacked by ACER- ***********?

my IE window title suddenly turned to

"Hacked by ACER -********* followed by my computer name..

what did it meant? i've already scan my computer using avira antivirus but no virus detected. anyone can help me here?..

Call your computer manufacturer's 800 help number or online website and ask about buying a system restore disk to restore the computer to its "like new" state and to re-load windows. I got one from HP for $15 or so. It will erase any viruses and then you can re-load your anti-virus software, printer software and internet software. That is the best way to get rid of viruses.

After that change any passwords, etc and even sometimes secret questions for passwords.

i have avira antivirus too. But you need a firewall too and an antispyware software too on top of avira. i use lavasoft firewall and PC tools spyware doctor.

run your antispwyare software and do a full scan by avira.
you need a good firewall and anti virus suite ! call acer they are very helpful. if it is a laptop you will have to send it to them , got min back in 3 days they pay for overnight delivery.try www,acer.com. go to the acer call center and put in your country and you will get the help number for that location. you could also try system restore ,if that works still call acer. (:%26gt;))
