Type services.msc into your Run Box %26gt; Ok %26gt; right click Automatic Updates %26gt; Properties %26gt; Start-up type--"Disabled" %26gt; Apply %26gt; Stop %26gt; Ok.
Just be sure and manually get your Windows Updates on the second Tuesday of every month (Patch Tuesday). Updates are absolutely necessary for the security of your computer.
As long as Automatic Updating is either shut-off in Windows Security Center or disabled in Services, Spybot S%26D will continue to alert you to this fact. Just ignore it.
