Vista Bug?

hello, i just bought a Pc with Vista on it, it seems to go a bit crazy after i leave it idling a while, the windows dont open properly and the taskbar seems to overlap the start screen etc, i though it was just me but my mate has the same problen on his laptop, they were bought at the same tiime and we run similar programs, Ares, Itunes ,etc, i scanned it with the antivirus, the anti malware and nothing to show,

any sugestions,

how much ram do you have?

what graphics card do you have? is it built in (like most laptops)

i would start to guess at it being a memory issue as youre running too little and the gpu memory is shared so that when the graphics starts up, it tries to grab the memory for the card and corrupts as sytem resources require it all

i would also consider the graphics driver, delete and reinstall it, an updated one

you need 1gb ram minimum for vista or you will not get it to work properly

Make sure you have the latest Microsoft updates installed. They just released one that might cover your problem.
I had the same problem and found that it was because I had installed NERO Removed it problem gone
