Please help with computer?

I just want to know if there is a free program out there that will tell me what files on the computer i need and what ones i don't i have entirely way to much on it and have deleted what i could but it takes hours for my antivirus to run and my adware scan the same. I just want a free program that is not trial just totally free that can decipher what is needed and what is not or if there is a way to tell what file goes with what program thanks

XP comes with disk cleanup (found in Start-%26gt; Programs-%26gt;Accessories-%26gt;System Tools). After you do this, you want to close all running programs, especially those with icons beside the clock in the lower right-hand corner.
