My Internet connection keeps disconnecting whenever I try to send email. It receives mail fine.?

Is this a problem with my computer or with my internet provider? I have Norton Antivirus and I just scanned and I don't have any virus.

Danutti is correct, assuming this is dial-up and you are using Outlook Express, Click on Tools, then options, then connection, then remove the check from hang up after sending/receiving

You need to check the fan in the UPS.The same thing happened with my computer and i tried all the things listed in the other answers but somehow a technician air blowed the dust around the fan and it was as good as new.Its definitely Worth a try,you could even do it yourself. The theory behind this is that when dust and dirt blocks the fan it doesnt serve its purpose and the hard disk heats up resulting in disconnection whenever you try downloading a big file or sending mail.

Cheers.
Disconnecting... Check you e-mail settings. Maybe you programmed it by CHECKING the box that says "Hang Up After sending".

Good luck and Happy Computing!
This is the kind of question that will get you a lot of different answers and most (or all) will be good.
