Hi! plz can anyone answer why frequently 'user image' containing pictures of smileys appea

once i had opened an anonymous folder in a pendrive from which a virus was spread..after that whenever i used to double click any icon its properties used to open.....i could successfully restore it to earlier restore point....after restoring it there was no problem in double clicking any icon....but i notice that a file is created named 'user image' which contains picture of many smileys........ my antivirus cannot detect it whenever i scan the computer even though i update my antivirus (avast) everyday ........even i uninstalled the antivirus and installed it again and updated upto its current database and scanned but still it couldn't detect any....plz help how to get rid of it!!!!!!!!

You need to run more than just a anti-virus scan.



You need to install a ad-ware/spyware detection/removal program such as Ad-Aware 2007, SpyBot S%26D or AVG Anti-Spyware.



Your system is still infected, but probably not by a virus which is why the anti-virus isn't finding anything.



Do a Google search for the above packages and download them. In fact, I would recommend installing at least two of them as some find threats the other one doesn't.
