Scanning Trojan...?

I have Trend Micro AntiVirus for my computer. When I open it to do a scan the first thing it says is...Scanning: Trojan. Does this mean I have a trojan and it is scanning it? Or does it mean It is scanning to see if I have a trojan?

I think that means it is scanning for Trojans...

There are 3 kinds of maliscious files...

Trojans,

Viruses,

and Worms,

they each do different things, and when a virus scanner scans, it scans for each type.

If you want to be sure... visit http://www.trojanscan.com and it will scan your computer for trojans only for free from the web.

its scanning for any trojan that might be on your computer %26lt;hopefully you don't have any%26gt;

good luck

S.T.
If Microtrend actually found a trojan or virus it will automatically quarantine it or prompt you if you want to delete it.

It's probably just scanning your pc when you first turn it on.
If it doesn't give you any more details that just those two words, then it is probably just scanning for Trojan viruses.

You might want to think about changing to another anti-virus program that gives more details about what it is doing. My favourites are the Kaspersky Anti-Virus and for beginners try the AVG anti-virus (free for use and lite on comp resources).
Second meaning. If you don't know, try another software like Norton. It's great but too heavy.
