How to remove w32 virus & format my usb disk,very urgent help needed?

I need urgent help

i have one usb disk with 1 Gb capacity,it having w32 virus

i scan the usb disk with antivirus(mcafee,avira antivir)but unable to delete the file

when im trying to copy/deleting a file shows the message

"the disk is write proteted,remove the write protection use another disk".

in my computer there is only one user

How can i format the disk

is there any good antivirus

Best way is to format it manually in Command prompt in safe mode.

1.restart you computer

2.press F8 constantly

3.in menu select safe-mode with command prompt

4.plug your device

5.format it as full format(type format *:\ (*as your drive letter))

***6.be carefull not to format main drives***
Well if it is writeprotected non of anti virus will ever remove that thing!
go to Nortons website and they have a malitious threat removal tool...made especially for that dam w32 virus.it's a trojan and it's a pain in the ***..Another way of getting it fixed is to take to someone who has Norton Internet Security installed on their computer..although Mcafee is good and so is AGV..No one covers as many threats as Norton last time i checked McAfee covered something like 80 thousand problems and Norton was up to almost 200 thousand..so it's worth the money to stay protected especially now that norton has lowered their prices last year i paid 150 for norton internet security this year it only cost 65..
Go to my computer, Right click the disk, click format..., then click format again.
