all sorts of ads, like ring tones, other ones saying the computer is infected will scan now etc, I have firewall, antivirus, anti spam, pop up blocker, spybot, but these new browser windows keep still popping up. can anyone help me pls?

Sounds pretty much like a smitfraud infection. The smitfraudfix run in safe mode is the tool of choice in removing a smitfraud infection. This will give directions for running the smitfraudfix in safe mode:

And since this is a trojan related infection, it would be a good idea to run Superantispyware also, to remove any other malware that the trojan may have brought in.
