I have the norton antivirus and it doesn't finish the scan it like it frezzes and won't exit hope someone will help thanks

I would first run error checking to see if your computer had an OS problem which is stopping Norton scan.

If it still freezes then i would do a free online to see if this sorts it out:

I'm not a big fan of Norton, but if it encounters large files it will seem like it is frozen as it tries to check them out. Try letting it run, even overnite and see what happens. If you have an older, slower computer it can take some time to complete, especially if you have a lot of files on a large drive. Be patient and see what happens. If after it runs overnite and it hasn't made any progress (it should show what files it is working on, write them down and see if they change), then you might have a virus that won't let it run, or some bad sectors on your hard drive that it can't seem to get past or even an incompatibility with your operating system that causes it to lock up. If possible get the latest updates and patches for your system and Norton and try again. Good luck.
Somebody either hacked the program, or your hardrive has been corrupted in spots. This is serious but you probably don't have either of these problems. It just could be that Norton is just bogging down your processor too much. I suggest AVG free anti-virus. It is less feature rich than Norton but It will protect you against all the Malware and viruses out there.
