System Doctor?

I was hanging around on Myspace and then I read someones bulletin and I took my eyes off the screen for a second and all of a sudden it comes up with this box thats like an ad for System Doctor and I told it to close but it took me to their site and i closed that and it popped up again. I'm running a scan with Symantec Antivirus. Is that good enough? Should i be freaking out?

SystemDoctor, also known as System Doctor, is a corrupt program that purportedly repairs damaged files, fixes registry problems, prevents data losses, erases Internet tracks etc. However, it is actually a poor performance application that produces incorrect, exaggerated system check results. SystemDoctor's main purpose is to trick the user into purchasing its paid version. The program displays commercial advertisements and opens annoying pop-ups. It may also secretly download from the Internet and install other threats. SystemDoctor runs on every Windows startup.

The application is illegally installed to user computers by widely spread parasites, through drive-by downloads, and via numerous exploits.

ystem doctor is a computer parasite. symantec shouldn't remove it as it only deals with viruses and what you have is not a virus, it's malware. if you also use an anti spyware, run a scan and it should remove the system doctor. if you don't use anti spyware, you can use system doctor removal: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-systemdo...
I wouldn't necessarily freak out about it. Just be aware of where you are clicking. If the cursor turns into the hyper link hand then you are opening a like regardless of what the window looks like.
SystemDoctor, a ErrorSafe clone, is a rogue registry cleaner designed to fix errors in your system, but once installed it pops up exaggerated security threats to trick you into purchasing the SystemDoctor 2006 repair/maintenance application. SystemDoctor 2006 may display pop-up or pop-under ads while you surf the web. SystemDoctor may come bundled with other spyware and may install without your permission. Since SystemDoctor installs different variants on your hard drive, SystemDoctor Spyware can prove difficult to remove manually.

If Norton doesnt remove it, which it probably wont. Then scan your PC with this to remove it. Its free and safe to use.
