Homepage will not "stick" in Firefox?

Recently, I have had a problem with the homepage "sticking" in Firefox. It keeps reverting back to the Mozilla Firefox Start Page, which contains nothing more than a Google search. Just in case my homepage was being hijacked, I ran a thorough scan with Norton Antivirus, Ad-Aware, and Spy Sweeper. All of these are up-to-date, including Firefox. I do not have the same problem in IE. What else might be causing this?

Not sure, but try the following. After setting your homepage (again), open a new tab and type 'about:config' (without quotes) in the address bar. This will bring up FF's configuration file. In the 'filter' field type 'home'. The top entry will be "browser.startup.homepage". Check what this is now set to. If it isn't changed, then there might be a permission problem on the config file.

I use Linux so I don't really know where the file is in Windows, but it'll be in your settings somewhere (do a search?). Right click on the file to see what the permissions are. Make sure you have write permission to that file.
