Virus question....(again)?

ok so 4 out of 5 people say that stuff you download from limewire



might not be so safe...but if i have an antivirus and i scan all the files before opening it it should be ok right?even if i download a virus by accident will i be safe if i dont open a file?hey anybody know how i create a virus...if you can answer both these questions fast i will choose you as my best answer!!!!

You should be safe as long as you have a good virus protection for your computer. You should also add a spyware/trojan protection to your computer because most downloads have trojans, not viruses. Once your protection detects a virus or a trojan, it will quarantine it and you may delete it.



You cant create a virus. There are hackers out there who try to think of ways to screw up people's computer so they usually use an old virus, but they change the code around so that it travels to a person's computer a different way.

OK, so you have this "free" software - if something goes wrong with it, what kind of recourse do you have from limewire? None.



Once you install someone else's software on your computer, your computer is no longer yours. Their program can put whatever it wants on your system. It doesn't have to be a virus to be a royal pain in the *** to your system and make it practically inoperable.
