When reformating a hard drive, and if you run into a virus during that how do you remove that virus if you run into one while re-formating a hard drive

is it best to delete the old partition and create a new one

PS I have ( Nortons antivirus) how do you get it to scan the (boot sector) or any other importen place that could cause a virus during re-formating

you shouldnt run into a virus if your reformatting a hdd, ps norton is crap i HIGHLY recommend you switch to something else

reformatting will wipe everything, and if you booting from the disc you can't go wrong
