Msn virus help.?

Hi, I opened msn messenger and got an IM straight away. The message said, will you look at some photos that ive done in photoshop, and see if you think they are not to green. This message was sent from a friend so i trusted them. When i opened the zip folder i think i put a virus on me pc. I have norton antivirus did a scan and it found no threats. However msn just signs out by itself, my contacts now get the message and norton is playing up big time. It sends loads of pop up screens all over my screen and messages saying email fail to send but i have not tried to send email. I have uninstalled norton and the pop ups have stopped. but msn not working properly and my friends still getting the message. I have now installed AVG and done a scan and found no threats. Ive also got ccleaner and spyware terminator. Does anyone know how i can get the msn working again, and stop my contacts getting the message from me. Any help appreciated.

if it finds some files and won`t delete them (due to commercial reasons that might happen) copy%26paste the report on the notepad, search the files and delete them. don't forget to unable your antivirus temporally before online scanning

in case activescan won鈥檛 work, use this one its really good too

i asked this question before but i didn't find any good answer .. so am asking it again .. PLZ help

so .. I use : Symantec AntiVirus .. and i scan my computer a lot (a lot) "full scan"

however, it's really slow "my computer memo is about 80GB" and YES i do have a lot of things, "that is my first problem"

my second one is there is a lot of windows that keep opening by it-self !!

when i close it it open another window !! it really bothers me..

the third thing .. omg .. i always hear a lady voice who keeps saying "congratulation u have been selected to receive a free apple iphone" or "laptop, PSP, 2 Ipod nano..ect" the weird thing is I DO NOT SEE ANY NEW WEB-PAGE!!!

what do you think my problem is ??

the virus has been removed however seems you still have some files generated by the virus, go to command promt and delet the the startup programs ,the best solution is take backup for your files, format, reinstall , update your fresh installed operating system from internet,take buckup for this fresh installation point ,in future whatever happens you can go back to this point.

Macro virus in Microsoft Word?

When I start up Microsoft Word there's a message saying 'The macros in this file do not match the digital signature. Only a macro virus would cause this. Please scan for viruses, and notify the publisher of the document. Macros will be disabled'.

I used my antivirus software to scan for virus in the whone PC but it didn't detect any virus. And now I can't print my documents!!

Also in word click Help - detect and repair

there you can restore defaults.

There's a text file on my computer that I don't remember creating?

A couple of days after I got my laptop, a shortcut to a Notepad file called "dxva_sig" showed up on my computer desktop. I did not create this file nor create a shortcut for it. The actual file is blank. I figured one of my cousins or my brother had just been messing around on my laptop and mashed the keys for the file name (because "dxva_sig" has no significance to me), so I deleted it to my Recycle Bin and created a password for the laptop so the kids would stop fooling around.

Within a few days, however, "dxva_sig" was back on my desktop. Confused, I deleted it once more and ran a full system scan with my AntiVirus program. I scanned for viruses, spyware, worms, cookies, the works. Nothing suspicious at all showed up, let alone some malicious activity called "dxva_sig".

Every few days, "dxva_sig" keeps magically rescuing itself from the Recycle Bin and settling down on my desktop. What the heck is going on? Is this something malicious? If not, how do I delete it PERMANENTLY?

Dxva is DirectX Video Acceleration - It has something to do with video codec鈥檚 on your PC - usually appears with the ATI graphic cards.

Attachment keeps getting Quarantined.?

I am receiveing an attachment from a source that should be free of Viruses. But the attachment keeps getting stripped and the name on the e-mail is changed to Quarantined Attachment.TXT

Is there anyway for me to getto the original attachment and download it. Then I can use my local Antivirus software to scan it and determine if there is truley a Virus on it.

so if you see several cmd in TASK MANAGER, it means you are in trouble with at least a virus.

Why does my laptop have a touchy CPU usage?

So currently, whenever I try to do anything almost at all, my CPU usage spikes. For example, trying to play chess on www.instantchess.com. I played it on my other comp and it worked fine. Depending on what it is, it's regular processes, firefox.exe, explorer.exe, etc.

I have AVG antispyware and antivirus installed, I scan regularly. I really don't know what the problem is. If it is hardware, please give me a way to make sure, so I don't go out and buy a new motherboard or something, and it ends out that's not the problem.

One last thing, recently, the Battery stopped charging, I dunno if that's a factor or not.

Its hard to answer this question without knowing the model of your laptop. Right-click on the taskbar below and select "Task Manager" then click on the "processes tab" and watch to see what program is eating the most ram. You might have a smaller processor on your laptop.
