- - - - -

My roommate used my computer and got it all virused up (not surprising, if u know him)

Anyway, I cleaned them all off--except I don't know how to get rid of what appears to be an extremely persistent virus. This site is really gross; advertising child porn or something like that. I don't want to write it out fully because don't want to advertise it, but it starts with "http://hardsite." and ends with ".to/".

I'm a relatively sophisticated user, so I've already tried alot of remedies:

- I've cleared the History, Cookies and Temp Internet files, both in IE and manually.

- I ran an array of anti-spyware programs:

+ SpyBot

+ AdWare

+ Yahoo AntiSpy

- I ran a full deep scan of Avast! AntiVirus.

These steps removed alot of junk, but this site still pops up.

I simply cannot find what is causing this problem to persist. Does anyone know what causes this horrible site to pop up every time I type in the letter "h"?

Thanks any help u can provide

Report a virus and upload it.?

I discover "zlzskw.exe" in my PC and scan it with antivirus software. The software report no threat detected.

The "zlzskw.exe" is run every time I start my computer and I can't disable it on "msconfig". It also try to add itself to Windows Firewall and open a port.

After Googling around, I can't find any site that I can report it and upload the virus for inspection. I found Avast report page but it was just like marketing survey.

It is a Backdoor Trojan - Spyware

No antivirus or antispyware protection is perfect, not even the expensive ones but a good mixture will help you clean your system and hopefully keep it clean. It is advisable not to run two or more anti virus applications as they may interfere with one another and cause false alerts.

As the biggest of the problems seem to be associated with Spyware, for starters, download, update and run a full scan using the following product:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

SuperAntiSpyware is exceptional and will remove the majority of difficult Trojans and Worms, not just the easy ones.

If possible it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence. If you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to help clean your system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot normally, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.

System Doctor?

I was hanging around on Myspace and then I read someones bulletin and I took my eyes off the screen for a second and all of a sudden it comes up with this box thats like an ad for System Doctor and I told it to close but it took me to their site and i closed that and it popped up again. I'm running a scan with Symantec Antivirus. Is that good enough? Should i be freaking out?

System Doctor?ktm

SystemDoctor, also known as System Doctor, is a corrupt program that purportedly repairs damaged files, fixes registry problems, prevents data losses, erases Internet tracks etc. However, it is actually a poor performance application that produces incorrect, exaggerated system check results. SystemDoctor's main purpose is to trick the user into purchasing its paid version. The program displays commercial advertisements and opens annoying pop-ups. It may also secretly download from the Internet and install other threats. SystemDoctor runs on every Windows startup.

The application is illegally installed to user computers by widely spread parasites, through drive-by downloads, and via numerous exploits.

System Doctor?nortan

ystem doctor is a computer parasite. symantec shouldn't remove it as it only deals with viruses and what you have is not a virus, it's malware. if you also use an anti spyware, run a scan and it should remove the system doctor. if you don't use anti spyware, you can use system doctor removal: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-systemdo...
I wouldn't necessarily freak out about it. Just be aware of where you are clicking. If the cursor turns into the hyper link hand then you are opening a like regardless of what the window looks like.
SystemDoctor, a ErrorSafe clone, is a rogue registry cleaner designed to fix errors in your system, but once installed it pops up exaggerated security threats to trick you into purchasing the SystemDoctor 2006 repair/maintenance application. SystemDoctor 2006 may display pop-up or pop-under ads while you surf the web. SystemDoctor may come bundled with other spyware and may install without your permission. Since SystemDoctor installs different variants on your hard drive, SystemDoctor Spyware can prove difficult to remove manually.

If Norton doesnt remove it, which it probably wont. Then scan your PC with this to remove it. Its free and safe to use.

SUPERAntiSpyware will remove ALL the Spyware, NOT just the easy ones!

Easily remove over 100,000 pests such as SmitFraud, Vundo, WinFixer, SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, WinAntiVirus, AntiVermins and thousands more!

You can aslo use the smitfraud removal tool.

"my internet explorer cannot be displayed" every single time?

Previously my laptop has some errors in the security updates as the automatic updates were off suddenly for quite some time but now it is finally alright now.

However, whenever i am connected to the internet, the internet webpage will be fine and will upload as per normal but for after a while,it will suddenly change to "internet explorer cannot be displayed" after multiples of refreshes.I reconnect again and the same process applies.

I run a scan in symantec antivirus and spyware terminator and they detected some virus but i've deleted it.I suspected it must be some tracking cookies that prevent me from surfing the net but still i am not sure about it.Some recent virus history that my laptop has encountered is w32 spybot but again everything is deleted and some were cleaned.I even using ccleaner too.

So i really need help on how to solve this.

My internet connectivity is fine really.

Its impossible to tell from that information, but suffice to say a format and reinstall will certainly resolve any issues.

Laptop still playing up, CPU at 100% when i use Mixmeister and/or Virtual DJ?

Very Slow, and any music is very distorted and choppy???

I use a laptop while I DJ but last night the sound was not right, I use both Mixmeister and Virtual DJ and both programmes when opened were extremly slow and when music was played it sounded very distorted (similar to a CD that is about to skip), I opened my task manager and noticed that when either of the programmes were ran the CPU Usage was up at 95-100% and the memory was at almost 80% too.

I have never had this problem at all before, and am quite baffles, I am thinking I may need to purchase more memory as i ran a synopsis test and was told this, although I think it could be also a virus too. suggestions would be helpful,...

have since yesterday did a scan with Spysweepewith Antivirus and it did find 4 virus, 2 of which in their descriptions where most likely to do with my problems, however again, when I open wither music programe, Mixmeister or Virtual DJ my computer still is running at 100% and memory over half?

Virus infections run deep my friend, and those 2 programs you use all the time, might be infected. You need to do a thorough clean up and make sure you got rid of any virus infection. You may want to consider re-installing your critical applications as well. Get a computer nerd to look at it, they should be able to help.

My notebook cannot turn off, what shall i do?

i click scan on my antivirus, then my computer function is not normal not able to turn off, it hang

My notebook cannot turn off, what shall i do?matchless

If you have anti spyware, virus programs installed, I would disconnect the battery, thus turning of the system. On restart press f8, when selections come up, restart in safe mode, then when booted up run you anti viral, and spyware programs. If this does not correct the startup problems, I would restart and run recovery disks to repair your system....lol

My notebook cannot turn off, what shall i do?norton 2008

what kind of antivirus is it? if its Norton, dump it and get Avast, since that's the best currently, and use avast to do a scan for malware such as viruses and spyware.
